When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

GROUPS @ ST PHILIPS

Here at St Philip's, we place a high priority on fellowship and the chance to meet together to learn more about Christ and encourage each other. There are a wide range of groups meeting in different homes designed to meet the needs of all people. We have found they create a strong sense of community and provide a base for people to support one another in busy and demanding lifestyles.

Through St Philips Youth activities,

Our Goal is to……share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to nurture young people in their faith. We seek to see young people come into an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to continually grow into Christ's image.

We teach that

the Bible is inspired by God and teaches us everything that God wants us to know about him and everything that needs to be known for our faith and living to please him. It is 100% true and is supreme in authority.
God made the world and everything in it.
Jesus Christ is the only Lord and Savior and that everyone everywhere is called to recognise this and submit to his authority.
he saves us by his death on the cross; that he was raised again to life and is now at God's right hand side.
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in each believer and to work in his/her life.
salvation only comes to those who believe in Jesus and submit to his authority.
Jesus Christ will one day return, ushering in a new heaven and earth. Although there are many signs warning of his coming, the day and time is not known and can not be predicted.

The method of our ministry is relational.

We minister to our youth through a network of small groups. The leaders of each group having pastoral responsibility for each student in their group. The groups meet at least once a week to read the Bible, pray, care for each other and encourage each other in their faith.

We do this to the praise and honor of God. Revelation 5:13 "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"
