| THERE ARE SO MANY SUPPORT NEEDS. |
In these times, we are all aware of rising costs and worthy causes. The basic
problem seems to be that such rising costs impact the continuation of many
worthy causes and so many of these are seeking to present the Gospel to those
who need to hear. One is St Philips and we must continue that support. Others
are the many Missionary Societies, one being CMS. A quote from Judith Calf may
prompt us to consider supporting this most worthy cause. "June is a month of
essentials. Your praying and your giving. Speaking bluntly; without your prayers
and money, the CMS gospel ministry, will trickle to a standstill. $1.2 million
is needed to meet the 07/08 costs of keeping us missionaries and sending out new
ones, in business."
PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IT MUST SURELY BE CONSIDERED A WORTHY CAUSE.

This past month, due to a two week electricity blackout in Korogwe and then our
local water pump breaking down, we have been dependent on our God keeping our
buckets full of rain water! If not, a trip to the river, dodging the crocodiles,
to get the buckets full and carry them on your head back home. Thankfully I
haven't quite got to this stage but our St Barnabas' students have been doing
this daily. It makes me so mindful of all we just take for granted. My students
are also thirsty to learn as we look deeply at our salvation in Jesus.
I am progressing well in trying to cover all my lesson material. Pray for my
ongoing energy as it is hard when I am constantly asked why are you leaving, why
aren't you coming back, who is coming to teach us?
My students often say to me, we learn so much more when you teach us, you help
us understand.

It has been wetter this year than in any since we have been in Tanzania. There
have been damaging floods, destroying newly-planted crops in many areas and
causing a mine collapse at the tanzanite mine near to us, resulting in the
deaths of more than seventy miners. The locals call it 'rain of stones' and they
are saying, 'Now, it is enough!' The maize crops are looking good and we thank
God for those but will you pray with us for the people who are suffering
hardship because of their crop failures.
As I travel to work three times a week, the last 15 km of dirt road, my verse
for the journey has been Ps 40:2. 'The LORD lifted me out of the slimy pit, out
of the mud and the mire.' I am indeed thankful to God for our trusty old
Landcruiser which can cheerfully negotiate mud, potholes and slippery sections.
Please pray for both Russell and me as we head towards the end of our teaching
time.

| JOHN and MARJO BROWNIE

Translators Training Course went well and we completed all the translation
assigned there (Genesis 1-3, and part of Exodus 15). The four participants
(Leslie, Dovlin, Debrah and Glen) did well and learned a lot.
TTC is over, so I will be working on several projects, including preparing the
gospel of John, for publishing. We plan to have a dedication of it in October.
Marjo will be teaching at the STEP course (training for people running
vernacular elementary schools in their own areas) until the end of the month, so
she will be busy and I will take over much of the domestic load.
We are very thankful for the First Home Buyers Grant and we have received money
from the government.

A comment to help you understand our people's need of rain. "He is much better
now, he's dry sowing" but we did not know he was depressed. Pray for soaking
rain for planting the next crop and Government wisdom in water management right
across Australia. In these difficult times, we praise God for 2 donors of
sorghum, so we have been able to give to e.g. a farm worker who lost everything
in a house fire.
Jill praises God for a boy's comment; "I wish we could have scripture every
day." This boy lives round the corner from church but please pray that the Holy
Spirit will have free reign in kid's hearts.
We are combining "BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY" with "MISSION SUNDAY" on June 29.
Please pray for the organisation and that people will come to meet Jesus!

Thank you for praying for our ministry opportunities in May. We do appreciate
your partnership with us. Robyn is to go to Buenos Aires, Argentina, from June 8
to 15 to be part of the Lausanne International Committee planning for the 2010
Lausanne III Congress in Capetown.
David is to speak on "Understanding Muslims" and also to meet with the workers
among Muslims and Robyn will continue speaking engagements to women leaders and
her Cathedral Bible Study.

| JUDY KAY - TWO x 2 |
Give thanks for the wonderful interest and enthusiasm towards the mission trip
to Malawi and pray for great wisdom for Matt Graham as he finalises the team and
continues to work on the organisation.
Give thanks that Judy has prepared a letter and survey to send out to all
mission agencies asking if they would be pleased to send out pairs of people on
mission if a website could provide them and Two by 2 would partner with in the
proposed website.
Give thanks that dates for a mission trip to help the Brownies seem to have
firmed up. Easter 2009, to help with a Conference for the Missionaries. Pray
that there would be growing interest and commitment to this trip from folk at St
Phils. Pray that the Lord would raise up leaders for this trip.
Pray for new leadership for the St Philips Mission Committee. Judy has tendered
her resignation as the leader though will continue as a Committee member and be
responsible for the trip to PNG.

At last I have two good legs, the wheelchair and crutches have been returned.
With Nicole being very sick and then my foot operation, I haven't been able to
plan any travel. It is ten years now since I went on the first trip with Robyn
Claydon to Tonga and as you know since then I have had many adventures as I have
responded to invitations to different countries. It has been a wonderful time of
seeing God at work and hopefully being able to be used by God to encourage and
equip mostly women but both men and women specifically in Bangladesh.
I had to cancel last year to Bangladesh but I am now scheduled to go on October
6. Another invitation is to return to the Northern Christian Training Centre, a
small Bible School in Labasa Fiji that trains young men and women to go back to
their home Islands as evangelists. The travel is expensive but if I have the
funds to go, I would like to arrange dates and then go quickly. I am also
balancing the family needs with the ministry.

| BANGLADESH or EAST ASIA: [Report from Warwick Lloyd] |
There have been a number of baptisms this month in some of the groups out of the
capital this month.
I have updated some spread sheets to use for the accounts for them which
hopefully will make life easier for them and also a spreadsheet to use for
reporting back to St Philips for financial reporting purposes.
We have a few things to do this month. 1. Complete all the Pastor profiles. 2.
Reconfirm linkages with small groups. 3.Financial update. 4. Feed back to
interested parties. 5. Report on the trip to St Philips in late June.
We should praise God for the many that are coming to the Lord and the
opportunity to help spread the Gospel in Bangladesh.
All the Pastors value our prayers and specifically ask for our continuing
prayers. One issue for which they need God's guidance, is in finding Pastor
Jahid Hasan, who has been missing for more than a month.
